At Mascit Lab, our story is rooted in the challenges of a rapidly changing educational landscape. In 2021, as the world grappled with the impact of COVID-19, we witnessed a significant shift in how students pursued their education. Many opted for online courses, while some embraced full-time homeschooling. Yet, there remained a critical question: how could these young minds gain essential practical skills, which simulations alone couldn't provide? Mascit Lab was born from this very question, fuelled by the determination to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise. We started small, with a modest space in Mugoya Estate, South C, and a vision to empower learners with the practical skills they needed to excel in STEM subjects. As the demand for our services grew, we expanded, moving to a larger space in the vibrant Dafam area of South C. Today, we are predominantly based in Kilimani, with our well-equipped science and IT laboratory serving as the hub for practical learning. Our journey, however, doesn't end there. We recognize that education is about reaching where the learners are. That's why we also offer mobile sessions to ensure that students can access the invaluable practical experiences we provide, no matter where they are.
